Due to its booming technology industry Bangalore is often also called “The Silicon Valley of India”. Moreover, it is also a very colourful and vibrant place that offers lots of opportunities for street photographers.

 

Street Photography in Bangalore: The best places to hit the streets

A very active area in the city is the so called KR Market. All in all you can find three markets there and each one has its own specialization. Furthermore, the whole area is sourrounded by streets which are also full of different shops. The KR Market doesn´t really close so there is always something going on there. Street Photographers will discover carts, cows and workers as well as tuk-tuks and of course many people.

Another really busy spot is Avenue Road which starts at the KR Market and continues to KG Road. This is a recommendable place as it offers a great variety of restaurants and shops and is packed with people most of the time. Majestic is also a great spot because there you can find one of the biggest bus stations of Bangalore and therefore it´s quite lively and a good place for walking around.

Near the KR market you can find Shivaji Nagar with the so called Commercial Street which is full of different shops. In the middle of the area there is Russell Market and apart from other attractions you will find a quite popular meat market there.

Another place that you shouldn´t miss is Pottery Town which is a settlement of pottery artists and makers, so there you will the possibility to get to know a very authentic location.

One of the city´s busiest streets is Brigade Road where street photographers will come across a great variety of different shops, bars and restaurants. The area mostly attracts younger people and especially during the night it can get really crowded there.
